Point Salines International Airport is the major gateway into Grenada. At present you can connect to Carriacou on the same-day by using SVG (St. Vincent Grenada Air) if you fly EXCEL from London Gatwick on Sunday or AIR JAMAICA from New York on certain days. SVG evening departure from Grenada is at 4:20pm. The Osprey Express ferry (see links) to Carriacou departs from the Carenage in St. George's at 9:00am and 5:30pm. Osprey Express – crossing time 70 minutes. Otherwise, if you wish to fly on to CARRIACOU from Grenada then you will almost certainly have to overnight on the mainland. British Airways now arrive direct to Grenada every Tuesday and Friday evening at Point Salines, via a short stopover on Barbados or Antigua. Virgin Atlantic on Thursday, and Excel on Sunday with the advantage of an onward connection to Carriacou. From San Juan (American Airlines hub) you can reach Grenada daily on American Eagle. The present situation regarding Carriacou may very well change as the small Airport at Lauriston will eventually be lengthened to accommodate larger aircraft. At present you can discover Carriacou from Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Bequia, Canouan, and Union Island .
